My Resolution Journey

It's June

And it's been a while since I last wrote. A lot has happened. I'm still doing okay in school and dieting but school is getting harder, as are the chores at home. More chickens and a cat to add to my daily routine. Hayleigh is 5 and wonderful! She has Kindergarten screening on Monday and we are so excited for her. I hope that all goes well she played soccer and did awesome and loved it! Billy is as perfect as always too. Work is the same. I am hoping to finish this program and get a job in something that I really love. We will see though.

For the Most Part Going Well

Things for the most part are going well. I am trying on my diet really hard but keep cheating of course. School is wonderful! I am doing very well and I love the challenge of course! Work however not so good they are laying off again but at least now I have a pretty good plan in place. Since I want to be in a hospital or long term care facility anyway when I get my Pharmacy Cert. I decided that if I do get laid off I am going to go ahead and just get my STNA License and work in a Nursing Home. The money isn't bad but it is hard work and it requires a lot of paitenece but I know that all fields in healthcare require that and I am prepared for it.

I am going to start planning Hayleigh's 5th Birthday party soon! Probably when we get back from Flordia. Get Tinker Bell inviations and stuff I think. She will like that for sure.

So nothing much going on in smalltown USA except the daily struggles of regular snalltown life. The Rooster's are coming along great and we already have some eggs! Billy is really excited about that. I think that this year is only going to get harder for everyone. With gas prices going up and everything else. But we will stick together be strong and help one another and I think we will pull out of this.

The Weekend is Here!

So the weekend is here and I am so ready for it! I have to clean house tonight and I am trying to think of something decent to make for dinner. I will probably go to the store tomorrow so its going to be whatever I can make with what I have at home.

Hayleigh is at her moms and I really hope that they here back from those people with the apartments so bad so that they can be closer to Hayleigh. I think it will be good for all involved if they get their own place.

Not much else to say nothing very exciting going on here. School is great as always. I have a house to clean tonight and class in the morning. My diet is not so good lately I will be honest but I am stressed out again about work the rumors of layoffs are back but then again in this economy I guess they are always around.

The Snow has Arrived!

Well all schools have cancelled for today and the snow just now got here. We are prepared for everything as always like we are every year. I just hope our electric stays on this year.

As for my diet well I cheated big time last night but I am doing good today and still watching my weight for sure. I have to pack our bags for Flordia tonight so they will be down there already when we get there. I am so excited to take Hayleigh down and relax I just hope it is warm and sunny that would be nice. Hayleigh is really excited too.

Class is going amazing and I love everything about school I am really focused on getting this degree and being able to make more money!

Carla and her husband are hopefully going to get that apartment in town soon. Hayleigh really wants to spend more time with her mom and they do so much better when they are living on their own and stuff. So I think things are going to be really good here soon. For everyone.

Billy is still into his roosters and buying and selling them. I am hoping this busness takes off for him soon too. That would be really nice.

Lots of Snow Today

Well we all woke up this morning to more snow and the roads icy and covered. I love the cold weather and winter though. It is when I am at my best. Billy was very nice and drove me this morning to work because I am scared to drive in it.

School last night was AMAZING to say the least. I am so excited about the challenge and everything it's going to be great! I am determied to work hard and get good grades. And reminding myself everyday is working great too!

My diet is going very well too! I am watching what I am eating and staying away from fatty foods and sugar.

Nanny's doctor's appointment went very well last night so that's good news too. They leave for Florida on Saturday Morning. I of course will miss them very much until I go down on the 22.

The Holidays Are Offically Over

So the Holidays are over and I guess it's time to get back to normal. Nanny goes to the heart doctor today and I am really worried. She works so hard and she just needs to go to Flordia for the next month and destress.

I started school today. My online class is up and running great I just have a night class tonight for an hour so we will see.

My diet is also going very well and I am eating very good and I have cut my portions in half! So for me it's keep up the good work!!!!

Hayleigh has been acting a bit strange lately even before Billy and I kept Connor and her. I am worried she is mad at me. She is whinny and mean most of the time and is always yelling. I just wish she was old enough to tell me about her feelings.

I went to a Rooster show with Billy Saturday night! My first one and I had a great time!!! I was very surprised and it made him really happy!

Just Being Me

Well last night was wonderful. Carla had to work late and so did her husband so we kept Hayleigh and her brother. I know people think I am crazy I don't really care. That's just me.

We had a really great time but Hayleigh really didn't know what to think about Connor being in her space at our house for the first time and she did get really jealous for a little bit but that's to be expected I guess. I really enjoyed having them it was so much fun and Carla and I got to talk for a while which made both her and I feel good about a lot of stuff.

So other stuff I am thinking about, School it starts Monday and Florida! It's going to be so great and wonderful! I am so excited about it!

I really just want to better myself and my family and I am determined to get through this 8 month course and get this degree and get a good job in Healthcare! So I am going to do it with your help- of course.

As for the diet yesterday was my free day and I must say I did really well and even though didn't eat super healthy (I had chinese) I didnt overeat and made wise decisions like no fried food and it totally worked for me!

Confessions of a Wicked Stepmother

Well this is it. No turning back. 2010 is here! I have lost three pounds so far and I am completely excited about it!!!
I am also very excited and nervous about school starting. We will see how that goes. I am very excited about FLORDIA which last night I found out I am going just me and Hayleigh and the rest of the family. Billy is going to stay home and take care of the animals. Roosters and dogs. I am very excited to go for sure! But we will have to see if Hayleigh's mom will say okay. But usually she doesn't have a problem with it.

We are a typical American Family. I figure I should let you all know that. Hayleigh's mom and I are actually very good friends. Her husband and my husband get along and we are all always there to support Hayleigh. We are one big family! Some people think it's odd and strange but I don't pay much attention. It's better for Hayleigh we are all on the same page and the rules flow wonderfully from one house to the other. I am Hayleigh's brother's godmother and my husband is his godfather. I know I know what your thinking. The ex wife asking the new wife to be the godparent of her child that's insane! Well not really. I can't have children of my own and I am lucky to have Hayleigh as such a big part of my life. And Connor will be too. Hayleigh loves her brother so much its so cute! But I am a very kind and openminded person.

Last night Hayleigh and I were watching the movie 'Enchanted' and as you all know that bad witch in the movie is the 'Wicked Stepmother' lol and the little girl in the movie struggles with the fact of having a stepmother. Hayleigh looked at me last night and said 'You're my wicked stepmother!' LOL we both laughed and I said 'Yep sure am!'

The Second Day

Well today is the second day of my challegne and with everything I am still considering myself with doing alright. Diet wise. I guess that's good. I cheated a bit last night and had some of Billy's chicken but I guess you'll have that.
This morning however was a bit rocky minus the diet. My Cocker Spaniel, Mr. Wilson decided to make a mess which then in return I stepped in and got mad. Screaming and yelling which then made Billy mad. Hayleigh stared in disbelief because I hardly ever get mad, ever or scream for that matter. But for some reason this morning my brain snapped and of course I feel guilty now as ever. But like I explained to my loving husband; I think it's the lack of fat and sugar my body is not taking in.

Then on to the office where of course since it is New Year's Eve EVE the world is either on vacation or has called in sick. Which therefore leaves little me. But I am doing my best to get through this day and into the new year where of course the challenges will begin to add up.

The Year for Big Changes

So I have decided this year is the year for changes. I am very happily married and have a wonderful life and a wonderful family. But something has felt empty for a while.So I have decided to start this blog to keep track of my progress.
This year I have made several resoultions. The first and formost being one that I am starting next week.
I am going back to college.
Granted I have only been out of college for two years seeing as how I am only 22 this shouldn't be a big deal but school is something that I love and I am pursuing a passion that I didn't think was possible for me. My husband is of course 100% behind me as he is with everything.
Second,
I have begun weight watchers, actually two days ago. And I must say for my lack of motivation and willpower I am doing very well. I haven't cheated yet. So I guess that is progress. I am not very much overweight by physcians standards and my husband tells me how perfect I am all the time. But I think I will feel better if I can succeed.
I think thats what this blog is going to be about. Sucess and what it takes to get there.
For me it's my husband, to show him how much I love him and that I can do this.
and my step-daughter Hayleigh who is 4 and who is our life. She lives with us and I have been in her life since she was 14 months old. I want her to be proud of me.
We live in the country in a very small town. Which I love and wouldn't trade for the world. In school most of my friends had big dreams. Dreams of the city, dreams of having big fancy houses and fancy things and labels. None of which I wanted. I was the one who dreamed of the nice home in the country and the regular family and the suv. All of which I have achieved. So I am putting my mind to this and it's going to happen. Trust me.
